Carnival Dates 2026
From: Tuesday, February 10, 2026
To: Wednesday, February 18, 2026
Sitges Wildest Party returns this February for 10 days and nights of parties, parades and mayhem.
Carnival has to be Sitges’ wildest party. Even though it is on in February it is still the hottest party in town! On the most popular days you will find thousands of partygoers dancing on the major streets across the town.
The busy months of July and August look positively dead! Gay boys and girls from the 4 corners of the world descend on our little town and party the week away!
- The ME Hotel is one of the most popular options during Carnival, offering spacious rooms and high-end amenities. The hotel has an “Excellent” rating
The Events
- Next Edition: Tuesday 10th February 2026 – Wednesday 18th February 2026.
- Events kick off with the Mantillas night, the traditional start of the gay Carnival on Tuesday.
- The King and Carnival (the main protagonist of the event) arrives on Thursday, followed by a series of epic parades and parties.
Costumes
- Costumes are essential. Many visitors spend months planning their outfits. Over the past few years, more and more visitors are dressing up! You have been warned. Plaza Industria, home to Parrots Pub is transformed into a party zone with camp carnival music playing non-stop from 7 pm until late.
The Main Parades
- Sunday’s and Tuesday’s parades are the two signature events. Enjoy elaborate floats, costumes and performances along the seafront as more than 2,000 participants make their way through the village.
The Route
- The route is as follows: Av Sofia Ribera Promenade (sea side), La Fragata, Ribera promenade (mountain side), Bassa Rodona, Plaza del Pou Vedre, Espalter, Sant Francesc and Cap de la Vila.
- Sunday’s Parade is at 7.30 pm and Tuesday’s Parade is at 9 pm.
The Widows Night
- Wednesday 17th February, 2026 – Possibly the gayest night of the year! As the King of Carnival makes his way through the streets of Sitges, a gaggle of very well dressed Drag Queens (all in Black) follow the funeral cortege, wailing and expressing their profound grief, in the most theatrical of ways.
- Its spontaneous, and unorganised, but what a sight!
- Followed by the Widows Dinner at Le Patio, with prizes for the best-dressed widow! Competition is fierce, outfits are fabulous, and it is the perfect end to a dazzling week of events. Well worth extending your stay to Wednesday!
